Damon Brain FMAAT ACADamon Brain FMAAT ACA heads up our Lincoln team and looks after a wide variety of owner managed businesses. Damon is a general practitioner who prides himself on providing proactive and relevant advice which aims to increase his clients profits whilst also minimising their tax liabilities. As well as looking after his clients Damon is continually involved with the ongoing growth of our Lincoln office and looking for new opportunities for us. Damon lives in Lincoln and is a part of the local community, he is an active member of Lincoln Minster Round Table which raises money for local charities as well as being a former vice-chairman of The Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance Charitable Trust.

Ian Phillips FCAIan Phillips FCA is the partner in charge at our Newark office. As general practitioner Ian has extensive experience in dealing with family businesses and is known for his practical commercial advice. His client base includes businesses of all sizes from start up to well established. He advises numerous agricultural businesses in addition to clients operating in a diverse range of industries and trades. He has a strong IT background and regularly advises clients on computer issues. He has responsibility for the firm's own computer strategy and is a members of the firms Administration Committee. Ian is a Director and Company Secretary of Beaumond House (the Newark Hospice), Chairman of Governors of Claypole School and a keen member of Newark 41 Club. He lives near to Newark and his hobbies include football, classic cars and music. Ian's brother Keith is a partner at the Sleaford office.

Tim Godson BA (Hons) FCATim Godson BA (Hons) FCA has been with the firm since 1996 having previously worked in both Leeds and the City. Coming from a local farming family he has particular knowledge of the arable sector as well as advising a diverse number of small and medium sized family businesses. Living locally Tim is an active supporter of local charities, in particular MacMillan Cancer Support. In his spare time he enjoys a wide variety of country pursuits including walking, mountain biking, skiing as well as being a keen Leicester Tigers supporter.

Simon Syddall FCASimon Syddall FCA works in our Sleaford and Lincoln offices, looking after a broad based portfolio of clients, including our specialist medical sector. He has considerable experience in the construction industry, agriculture, road haulage and retailing. Simon has also worked in industry, youth training and as a non-executive NHS director. He is a Co-opted Governor of the Kesteven and Grantham Girls High School, a Trustee of the Kings School, Grantham "Old" Trusts and past Treasurer of St Wulfram's Parish Church. His leisure time interests include motor sport, fitness and rowing. He is a past Vice Captain of Newark Rowing Club.

Mark Taylor FCCA CTAMark Taylor FCCA CTA has particular expertise in corporate and property taxes, covering our offices in Lincoln, Louth, Newark, Skegness and Sleaford. Mark is responsible for the running of the firm’s property tax department and thrives on adding value to his clients, he has extensive experience of tax planning and due diligence having worked on many large corporate and property transactions. Mark is a former chairman of Louth Round Table and current Chairman of the Lincoln branch of the Forum for the Built Environment. In his spare time he enjoys holidays and motorcycling.
